Dera Ghazi Khan: Illegal housing schemes operating within the city will soon be regularised, a news source quoted Advisor to Chief Minister (CM) on Health Muhammad Hanif Khan Pitafi. He made this observation while speaking to media representatives.
According to Pitafi, more than 100 private housing schemes in the past were developed illegally. In most of these projects, the developers did not complete their assigned development work. The situation has remained unchanged for the last two decades.
The adviser informed that the issue had been reported for the first time to a provincial chief minister.
As per reports, Chief Minister Usman Buzdar has taken prompt actions to resolve the situation. He has directed the government departments concerned to take the necessary measures to regularise these projects.
Pitafi told the media that once these housing schemes are officially regularised, the process to equip them with service utilities will begin. Furthermore, water, gas and electricity-providing companies will be authorised to issue these provisions – which will speed up the pace of development work.
