Peshawar: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has arrested the owner of an illegal housing scheme in Nowshera on account of cheating the public, reported a news source. The accused lured the general public into investing in his illegal society by lying about the status of plots.
The property buyers were promised that they were being sold the allotted plots, but the developers didn’t offer the property possession despite a lapse of several years. After scrutinising the records, NAB found out that the owner had not obtained a no-objection certificate for his project.
To investigate further about these fraudulent dealings, the authorities concerned will reach the Accountability Court of Peshawar today to obtain his physical remand.
