Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Cantonment Board (RCB) has issued notices to the developers of 15 buildings on account of their illegal construction activity in the city’s Cantonment area, a news source reported. The building owners had been carrying out the construction work without getting building plan approvals.

Via these notices, the RCB has issued stern warning to the developers directing them to submit the building plan for approval or the board will demolish the under-construction structures. These buildings are, reportedly, located in Marble Factory area, Misreal Road, Peshawar Road, Ahmedabad, Quaid-e-Azam Colony and Farooqabad.

In another development, Rawalpindi Commissioner Captain (retired) Mehmood Ahmed provided his approval to the development of Attock Link Road. He made the announcement while presiding over a meeting held to discuss community development programmes underway for Rawalpindi.

The commissioner also approved water supply schemes where 17 new tube wells will be installed to supply water to the citizens. Commissioner Ahmed directed the concerned officials to complete the development work, especially those for development of water supply schemes, sewerage lines and road rehabilitation.
