Rawalpindi: The Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) registered 71 cases against property owners involved in illegal construction of commercial units and approved 19 cases as result of an operation that was carried out in 2017, according to a news source.
The authority is determined to carry out the drive against illegal construction activities without any interruption. During this drive, the RDA also approved Permission of Planning for five housing societies and layout plan of one. In 2017, the authority received 440 applications for approval of building plans, out of which 258 were passed, while only five were approved formally.
The RDA is affirmed that it will not allow marketing campaign for any project which hasn’t been approved and will take legal actions against those involved in it.
