Lahore: During a crackdown, Metropolitan Corporation (MC)’s Planning Wing sealed six illegal buildings on Temple Road, reported a news source. The operation was carried out on reports of violation of Building Bylaws as specified by the Lahore Development Authority (LDA).
The operation was carried out in the city’s Data Ganj Bakhsh Zone.
The crackdown was a joint collaboration of MC’s Planning Wing and Anti-Corruption Establishment. Reportedly, the builders of sealed plazas had not submitted their building plans for formal approval. The department has served the notices to builders to share their building plans.
MC’s Planning Wing has also made it clear that the owners who will not submit their building plans will face major consequences. The corporation may as well demolish these structures.
As per the set regulations, real estate construction activities cannot be carried out without having its building plan approved.
