Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) on Monday (September 6) announced sealing 15 illegally constructed commercial buildings in the Kuri and Banigala areas of Islamabad, according to news sources.

As per the details shared, the anti-encroachment operation in Banigala and Kuri areas was conducted to stop the construction of commercial buildings without getting CDA’s approval. It was mentioned that the building control department acted on time to not only stop the construction of unlawful buildings but also sealed them.
Moreover, the CDA’s enforcement directorate carried out an anti-encroachment operation in Sector F-13 to raze an unauthorized market. According to details, a plaza with 30 shops was demolished along with an illegal under-construction market.

Reportedly, CDA has been conducting operations against unapproved constructions and encroachments in the capital city. CDA has retrieved billions of rupees of state-owned land from encroachments. Recently, CDA has recovered four kanals of government land. It was reported that the civic agency had to pay the locals to get complete possession of the land.
