Peshawar: Peshawar District Administration on Thursday held a meeting and decided to demolish the ill-planned housing units in the Jalozai Housing Scheme after the owners have been compensated, according to news sources.

Reportedly, the said meeting was chaired by Peshawar Commissioner Riaz Khan Mehsud, which was also attended by Housing Secretary Usman Ali Shah and other district officials and Provincial Housing Authority (PHA).

The meeting was informed that housing units have been developed on 400-kanal land without being planned in the Jalozai project, which comprises a total land area of 9,995 kanals. The meeting was informed that ill-planned housing units have affected the structural integrity of the entire housing scheme. The participants of the meeting was informed that the district administration had tried to vacate the inhabitant of these houses, but hasn’t yet take any legal action regarding the matter.
