Islamabad: The reconstruction and rehabilitation of IJP Road is expected to be completed one month ahead of its scheduled deadline of April 14, 2022, a news source reported on October 15. As per the details, the road will open to traffic by March 23, next year.

CDA Chairman Captain (retired) Muhammad Usman Younis visited different portions of the under-construction IJP Road to review the development work. The chairman was informed about the development activity and was notified that the work will be completed by March 23 instead of April 14.

Moreover, the CDA chairman was told that the development work in the first phase, from Mandi Morr to N-5 (GT Road), will be completed by the end of this month. The deadline for completion of construction work under phase 2, from Mandi Morr to 9th Avenue, will be completed by December 25. The Road will be open to traffic after the completion of work marked in the third phase.
