Islamabad: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Captain (retired) Muhammad Usman Younis on Tuesday (January 24) announced the construction of the IJP Road will be completed by the end of this month, news sources reported.

Sharing the news of the opening of the IJP Road via his Twitter account, the chairman said that the IJP road will be complete and fully functional by the end of this month. He further revealed that the Agha Shahi (9th) Avenue flyover will be completed later and open to traffic once all the piling work is complete.

It is important to note that IJP Road is one of the busiest roads in the city that connects Rawalpindi with Islamabad and is used by heavy and public transport frequently. The IJP Road construction project was launched in October 2021, with the initial date of completion set for April 2023. The project was awarded to the National Logistics Cell (NLC).
