Islamabad: Islamabad High Court (IHC) has ordered the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to stop allotment of plots in green areas and uninhabited areas, reported a news source. The court was hearing a petition filed against the CDA allotting plots in vacant areas and green spaces in various sectors.
According to the petitioner, the CDA has so far allotted 2,500 such plots in various sectors. Commenting on this, the IHC said construction on such plots is allowed if they do not fall in the land reserved for other facilities in the master plan or the green belts.
Adjourning the court till October 11, the IHC has asked CDA to submit a detailed report on this.
