Islamabad: The Islamabad Development Working Party (IDWP) on Thursday met with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Chief Commissioner and Member National Assembly (MNA) Raja Khurram Nawaz and approved 18 development projects, according to news sources.

The IDWP meeting discussed these projects – worth of PKR 1.35 billion –under the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP) for the capital city.

The scope of these schemes is linked to the construction of roads, water supply lines, storm drains and a tehsil office. The estimated cost of SDG projects is PKR 450 million and the PSDP projects will cost PKR 956 million to construct.
Nawaz also issued directions for the authorities concern to exercise proper vigilance towards construction standards and to complete these projects within the ongoing fiscal year.
