Peshawar: The Department of Archeology and Museums has reportedly turned down the government’s plan to convert Dilip Kumar’s ancestral house in Peshawar into a national heritage, stating the project as ‘unfeasible’.
According to a news report, Information and National Heritage Minister Mr Pervaiz Rasheed had received an order from Prime Minister Mr Nawaz Sharif to convert Dilip Kumar’s house into a national heritage.
The news source further reported that in a letter to the Information and National Heritage Ministry, the Department of Archeology and Museums had asserted that the house was situated in a congested area and could not be accessed easily through a narrow street.
