Islamabad: The Islamabad Developer Association (IDA) has proposed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to grant possession of commercial plots auctioned in January on an initial payment ranging from 50% to 75%, according to a news story reported in national dailies earlier this month.

According to the details, discussions between the IDA and CDA revolved around maximising revenue and facilitating successful project development through the open auction of commercial plots. The meeting, attended by prominent figures such as Centaurus CEO Sardar Yasir Ilyas Khan, and other IDA members, engaged with the CDA’s high-ranking officials.

The IDA, in addition to the above-mentioned suggestion, urged for an extended payment deadline of 30 working days and a structured instalment plan spanning two years. Furthermore, the IDA advocated for reverting to the original parking space ratio of one car space per 1,000 sq ft, opposing the current revision of one space per 750 sq. ft.
