Speaking to members of the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Deputy Commissioner (DC) Irfan Nawaz Memon stated that the city’s constant reliance and boring operations have pushed the water table below the ideal level, which might be disastrous for the city’s future. He stated that the corporate community must reduce boring operations in the city and rely on officially approved water sources. DC Memon also asked owners of large business centres and manufacturers to implement fire safety procedures. He instructed them to put fire hydrants and extinguishers in their buildings to combat minor flames before aid arrived.
