As per an official ICT notification, the influx of sacrificial animals crowding roads, empty plots, and green belts will cause traffic congestion and may even pose a health hazard in the residential sectors of the capital.
The ICT administration has legitimised the use of specified areas in Sector I-12 to accommodate over 100,000 animals brought to the capital, in view of public convenience.
