Islamabad: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) President Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari has stressed the need to start development work in markets of the capital city, according to news published on May 16.

As per the details, the ICCI President met with the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Board to discuss the development works in the different markets. He lauded the efforts of CDA Chairman Noor-ul-Amin Mengal for focusing on the development work in the markets.
Bakhtawari stressed on the need for construction of parking lots, replacement of old sewage and drainage systems, filtration plants, road carpeting, footpath repairs, and construction of public toilets.
The ICCI president recommended the CDA to start development work in F-6 Markaz, F-7 Markaz, G-9 Markaz, F-10 Markaz, I-8 Markaz, Aabpara Market, Blue Area, and Melody Market.

He further asked the CDA to gradually extend the work to other markets of the city. Bakhtawari assured that the ICCI will cooperate with CDA to address these issues. The news report further mentioned that the ICCI delegation and representatives of major markets made some suggestions regarding development works in their respective markets.
