To this effect, an ICCI delegation met with Planning & Development Secretary Mathar Niaz Rana. The delegation discussed various proposals for the promotion of industrialisation in the region. Rana informed the delegation that the ICCI could play a major role by encouraging investors from the private sector to utilise opportunities for business partnerships in CPEC projects.
Rana stated that for the planned SEZ development in Islamabad under CPEC, ICCI should submit its proposal so that the minister could prepare the right policy in this regard. He added that Islamabad needed sector-specific industrial clusters to facilitate local and foreign investors.
