IBA President Chaudhry Naseer has also appreciated the CDA’s new recruitment in its planning wing – comprising of approximately 17 professionals – and expressed hope that the move will lead to the resolution of city’s parking space issue. He was of the view that the issue of parking spaces ‘shrinking fast’ is due to poor planning in the last two decades.

Furthermore, the IBA president said that it is becoming difficult for people to park vehicles in Blue Area, Aabpara Market, F-8 Markaz, G-9 Markaz, among other commercial areas. He said that the CDA was supposed to build a parking plaza in the Blue Area, where designated plots have also been made available – but are yet to be availed.
Naseer highlighted that the problem will worsen in the coming years and urged the civic authority to divert its attention towards its resolution – including the construction of interchanges and new roads, as the population crosses two-million mark.
