Members of the ‘I OWN Karachi’ core committee also discussed the way forward following the expiration of the tenure of the city’s current mayor and expressed their concerns over the expected appointment of a bureaucrat for the office.
The organisation’s spokesperson said that the problems faced by the residents of Karachi could only be addressed under the leadership of a competent candidate for the role. He further added that the ‘city that generates 67% of the total taxes cannot be ignored’.
