Islamabad: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Asad Umar stated on Monday that the construction of the 306 km Sukkur-Hyderabad motorway (M6) will start after getting approval from the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), according to news sources.
While talking to the media, the minister informed that the federal government has handled all technical and financial obstacles in the way of building the motorway. Further, he added that NADRA registration offices will be established in every Sindh district.

Out of all the development packages for Sindh, the Sukkur-Hyderabad (M6) motorway is the biggest project announced by Prime Minister Imran Khan for the province. The PM has announced a development package of PKR 446 billion for the development of neglected districts of Sindh in the domains of communication, irrigation, power supply, and sports projects.
Some of the projects included in the package are: improving 14 passport offices, rebuilding 200,000 acres of agricultural land, the development of Nai Gaj Dam that will irrigate 28,800 acres, 30,000 new power connections, and gas supply to 160 villages.
