Hyderabad: Sindh Minister for Information Sharjeel Inam Memon on Tuesday (August 23) inaugurated the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) Hyderabad, news sources reported. The board will assist in the management of rain-affected areas and maintain cleanliness in the city.

The minister stated on the occasion that the government is taking every necessary step to provide people with the best municipal facilities available, and the inauguration of SSWMB Hyderabad is part of that effort. He stated that the project is being inaugurated ahead of its scheduled September date since the recent rains have made it very vital to bring assistance to the people. He stated that the same SSWMB network would be expanded to other parts of the province.

Later, the minister met with the people affected by the recent heavy rains and floods. He stated that the administration, in partnership with the federal government, will take every measure possible to assist in the rehabilitation of rain-affected individuals.
