Rawalpindi: The Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has allowed 100 sealed service stations to begin operations again on the promise that they will establish water recycling plants, a news source reported. Of the 53 illegal water hydrants, only 7 have been regularised so far on a charge of PKR 7,500 per month.
WASA authorities had sealed 100 service stations in the city on the Supreme Court’s orders for the conservation of water because they didn’t have water recycling plants. However, after meeting with the owners, the services stations were temporarily unsealed on the promise that water recycling plants will be installed within a month.
