Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Government has finalised all necessary arrangements for launching new development schemes worth billions of rupees in the merged tribal districts, a news source reported.

KP Additional Chief Secretary Shahzad Bangash chaired a meeting to this effect. He said that the government is committed to developing the former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on a priority basis.
The development schemes and completed projects cover a wide range of sectors such as education, health, road infrastructure, power supply, clean drinking water, irrigation/agriculture, sports, and tourism.
Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan and provincial ministers would participate in ground-breaking ceremonies reportedly set to take place soon.

The initiatives for the merged districts comprise donor-assisted schemes and annual developmental projects.
