Sukkur: The officials concerned on Sunday retrieved at least 4,000 acres of forest land from illegal occupants, a news source reported.
Sunday’s operation was a collaboration between the district administrations of Sukkur and Ghotki. The authorities concerned completed the operation in a phased manner on the Supreme Court’s orders.

Police personnel escorted the said government officials. They dismantled water machines, tube wells, and other equipment illegally installed on the forest land.
The officials concerned retrieved a huge chunk of forest land in the Sadhoja area of Pannu Aqil in Sukkur district, and the Wahidpur area of Ghotki district.

Previously, the forest department had notified the occupants to vacate state land voluntarily. The Sindh government recently cancelled the land lease.
