Gujranwala: The Government of Punjab has decided to make it mandatory for housing societies in the city to have an NOC issued by the Parks & Horticulture Authority (PHA), reported a news source. The new rule will also be applicable on housing societies established from 2014 onwards.
The decision was taken in a high-level meeting, which was presided by Finance and Planning secretary. Gwadar Development Authority will share the record of new projects with the departments concerned after a mechanism is finalised in a PHA board of directors’ meeting.
PHA Deputy Director Zeeshan Akbar Butt said that under the new rule, the developers of housing societies will allocate 7% of the land reserved for greenbelts and parks within the project, for which they will seek for an NOC from the authority.
