Karachi: Association of Builders and Developers of Pakistan (ABAD) has proposed a housing scheme for family members of martyred policemen, a news source reported. ABAD has also offered to construct houses for the families.
During a meeting with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) South Javed Alam, ABAD Chairman Muhammad Hassan Bakshi put forth the suggestion to set up a bank account for financial compensation of the families. He also appealed for donations in this regard.
Bakshi praised the police department for their services and assured to provide every possible assistance. He said that ABAD wants to serve the country and would be able to do so in a conducive business environment.
On his part, DIG Alam welcomed the proposal of ABAD and said that the Sindh Government has also announced to compensate the families of the martyred policemen.
He asked ABAD members to establish construction plants which will provide locally manufactured cost-effective raw materials and also provide jobs to a large number of people.
