Islamabad: Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to expedite the execution of housing projects for overseas Pakistanis, according to news published on February 25.

The Finance Minister (FM) chaired a meeting to review the progress of CDA’s development projects, mainly, the housing projects for non-resident Pakistanis. He directed the CDA officials to fast-track housing projects for non-resident Pakistanis. The minister asked the authority to maintain international standards and transparency through an online system. Moreover, the attendees were informed that the authority has started work on several short-term and medium-term housing projects for overseas Pakistanis.

The news source mentioned that the CDA disclosed that one of the housing projects is almost complete and has been launched for registration. During the meeting, FM Dar emphasized the importance of overseas Pakistanis for the financial and economic development of the country.
