As many as eight allottees have applied for the no objection certificate (NOCs) issuance for approval of building plans in Sector G-14 – out of which only four have started the construction of houses on their properties until now.
An official from the ministry said that a federal cabinet decision (taken in March ‘95) has banned construction of new government accommodation for federal employees and offered them rental ceiling with salaries. Reportedly, the said decision was only partially implemented and no new government accommodations were constructed afterwards.
