The proposed Allocation Rules, 2002 amendment is currently under review and is nearing implementation. This amendment removes Rule 20 of the Government House Allotment, which currently allows retired federal employees to transfer their government housing to their employed offspring.
Employees on the waiting list have criticized this rule as unfair, arguing that it prioritizes familial transfers over the seniority-based system they prefer.
