Swabi: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority (KPHA) has ordered house owners along Swabi-Topi Road to remove parts of their house structures so that the road can be widened.
Approximately 3-5 ft2 area of each house located on the road, from the district headquarters to the Bam khel and Baja villages, needs to be demolished, stated a news source.
According to home owners, the authority, with the help of the district administration, has threatened strict action if the marked areas are not vacated in the given time.
These residents expressed concern about the possible weakening of the structure of their houses and also claimed that they have not been compensated for their loss.
