Lahore: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has demolished several dozens of houses in Shah Allah Ditta village, according to a news source. The operation was carried out under the supervision of town administration along with help from the Islamabad Police.
A sizeable chunk of land in Shah Allah Ditta, which lies between CDA sectors G-12 and G-14, has been acquired from previous property owners who have received both payment for the land and alternate plots. Despite that, several hundreds of families remain on illegally occupied land in the village. According to news reports, the dwellers in these illegally constructed houses have been notified several times in the past to vacate the premises.
