Karachi: The Sindh government is considering extending financial benefits to its employees so that they can rent a comfortable residency, a news source reported.

Sindh Minister for Environment and Climate Change Taimur Talpur expressed his views on the matter. He said Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah recently formed a three-member committee to this effect.
It has been tasked with suggesting policies with respect to residential facilities for government employees. Minister for Energy Imtiaz Sheikh, Adviser on Law Murtaza Wahab, and Minister for Climate Change Taimpur Talpur are members of this committee.

He said that the provincial government wants its employees to have affordable residential facilities. Another proposal under consideration is to arrange loans for these employees. The authorities concerned have approached the Accountant General Sindh and Sindh Bank to this effect.
