Mansehra: A number of hoteliers linked with Balakot’s tourism sector on Monday requested the KP government to resume tourist activities within the province, according to news sources. They also urged the executive to offer incentives to gap their incurred monetary losses during its imposed anti-COVID-19 lockdown phase.

People gathered in the Tarhana area and marched through Mansehra-Naran-Jalkhad road to urge the government to reopen the tourism industry in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP). People were seen holding placards and raised slogans.

Hoteliers Association President Ajaz Ahmad Khan said in a media briefing that the government has issued standard operating procedures (SOPs) for almost all businesses, except for the tourist industry. He highlighted the troubles faced by the people associated with the said sector, saying that hundreds and thousands of people were suffering as a result.
