Rawalpindi: It has been decided that a hospital will be constructed on 40 kanals of Varan Depot land in Rawalpindi Cantt, a news source reported. The preparation of PC-1 has begun and the land will be provided by the Punjab government, while the federal government will provide the funds for it.
According to details, the hospital is being constructed to provide medical facilities to residents of Rawalpindi cantonment and its surrounding areas including new population based along motorway. The hospital is going to be constructed on Peshawar Road at Varan Depot land. The land has been inspected by officials of federal Health Ministry and the preparation of PC-1 has begun.

The hospital will be run under federal Health Ministry, and it will be a model hospital made according to international standards. The hospital will have gynaecology facilities, operation theatre, and a complete outpatient department.
