Lahore: The Lahore High Court has expressed satisfaction with the action taken against litterers on Mall Road and Data Darbar, a news source reported. The court was hearing a case regarding cleanliness on Mall Road, and Data Darbar and Justice Ali Akbar Qureshi had asked the Lahore Metropolitan Corporation Chief Officer to submit a report on the matter.
The report informed that court that 170 people had been fined for littering on Mall Road and Data Darbar area and a fine of PKR 170,000 had been collected as a result. The judge further asked the official to fine people littering on Hall Road as well. A report will be submitted on the matter tomorrow.
