As per the details, this suspension comes as a result of the housing schemes failing to pay their external development charges (EDC) on time. According to a spokesperson, the decision to suspend the NOCs was made due to the lack of responsiveness from the builders despite multiple notices reminding them of their outstanding dues.

Moreover, the housing schemes have been given a one-week deadline to settle their outstanding dues in order to avoid NOC suspension. It is pertinent to note that the external development charges are levied by the HDA to cover services like water supply, drainage, and road infrastructure for these housing schemes.
