This increase in charges has been spurred by the financial constraints faced by the institutions for several years now. As per the details, the decision was approved in the HDA governing body held on January 24, under the chairmanship of Sindh Minister of Local Government, Forests and Religious Affairs Syed Nasir Hussain Shah.
The addition in existing fees of the Planning and Development Department (P&D) to make it a self-sufficient entity was proposed by the HDA director general.
