Lahore: Habib Bank Limited and Transfast on Tuesday announced to collaborate for facilitating overseas Pakistanis with regard to sending remittances, a news source reported. The latter is a leading cross-border payments service provider.

According to details, the two organisations have collaborated to provide a remittance facility that works globally for overseas Pakistanis. Sources revealed that the facility is now available to the overseas Pakistanis. Transfast SVP & MD Samir Vidhate stated that the facility would allow collecting money from any HBL branch in Pakistan and sending money into any bank account in the country.
Meanwhile, HBL Head International Banking Faisal Noor Lalani said that this was a proud moment for the bank, as the facility would allow customers to make fast international money transfers to HBL Pakistan.

According to the State Bank of Pakistan ((SBP), Pakistan received a record USD 21.84 billion in remittances last year. On the other hand, experts expect this amount to increase and reach USD 23 billion with over 8 million overseas Pakistanis around the globe.
