Karachi: House Building Finance Company (HBFC) Managing Director (MD) Syed Basit Aly on Tuesday stated that the company was all set on taking the lead on the Naya Pakistan Housing Programme (NPHP) developments among all other financial institutions operating in the country, a news source reported. He was speaking to the media at the inauguration of HBFC’s Karachi-II branch at Gulistan-e-Jauhar.

Aly revealed that the HBFC has a disbursement target of PKR 4.5 billion for the current year, which the company hopes to enhance further for the NPHP initiatives. He said that the company has improved its recoveries from 52% to 75% in the past five years.

Moreover, the MD further went on to say that all the financial sector services had faced a challenging year – in 2020 – but the company’s ‘cutting-edge housing finance services’ and the enthusiastic customer support will ensure another successful year for the company.
