Mansehra: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister (CM) Mahmood Khan on Tuesday inaugurated the Mansehra-Thakot section of the Hazara Expressway, according to a news source published on July 29.

The chief minister addressed the inaugural ceremony and said that KP has great tourism potential in Hazara and Malakand divisions and the completion of this expressway will boost tourism to ‘a new height’. He revealed that the 180-kilometre-long Hazara Expressway from Hassnabdal to Thakot was constructed with the cost of PKR 133 billion.
Moreover, the CM said that the second phase of the motorway was also in progress in Swat. He said that this mega road infrastructure project has been completed under the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects, which would provide employment opportunities to the large portion of the population.

Khan credited Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan and Minister for Communications Murad Saeed for the early completion of the Mansehra-Thakot artery of the Hazara Expressway.
