Karachi: Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab has invited Indonesian investors to engage in the development of Hawke’s Bay Beach Resort, according to a news article on August 29.

The Mayor extended invitation during a meeting held at the Karachi Municipal Corporation (KMC) head office, where Mayor Wahab engaged with Indonesian Consul General June Kuncoro, and Indonesian Consul for Economic Affairs Ahmed Sufian. He urged the investors to partake in the development of resorts and recreational areas along the coastline, where there are approximately 200 small islands.
Moreover, the meeting discussed the prospect of leveraging Pakistan’s investor-friendly policies in conjunction with Indonesia’s expertise in island-based development, envisioning a fruitful partnership between the two nations.
During the meeting, Mayor Wahab expressed his aspiration to match the success of Indonesia’s renowned beach facilities in Karachi.

This aspiration translates into concrete plans for establishing a contemporary beach resort on a stretch of land owned by KMC at Hawke’s Bay Beach. June Kuncoro, in return, commended the warm reception extended by the city of Karachi and assured that the investment proposition would be relayed to the Indonesian government for consideration.
