Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has decided to construct a modern sports complex in Havelian, according to news published in the national dailies on August 16.

As per the details, the government has acquired 250-kanal land near Havelian Dhamtor bypass for the construction of the contemporary sports complex. A provincial assembly speaker mentioned that the government has allocated PKR 13 billion for the sports complex. Provincial Minister Shaukat Yousafzai, speaking at a boxing event, stated that the focus of the government is to promote sports and address the issues faced by the youth in the province.

The event was attended by Marwat Deputy Commissioner Tariq Islam, Former Director General Sports Tariq Mahmood, RSO Ahmed Zaman, and others. It was mentioned that renowned boxers from the Hazara division participated in the recently-held boxing competition.
