Peshawar: Advisor to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister on Science & Technology and Information Technology Zia Ullah Bangash has revealed that a digital city is being developed in Haripur; which is set to feature the offices of YouTube, Facebook and Google, according to a news report published yesterday (July 15).

Bangash shared this information while addressing the graduation ceremony at Durshal, Abbottabad. He said that the country would soon be digitised according to the vision of Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan, and that work towards achieving this goal is underway in the province.
In addition to the development of the digital city in Haripur, the KP government is also setting up an Information Technology Park and Technologist Estate in Abbottabad. The PM’s advisor mentioned that internet services will soon be provided in the merged tribes and all other parts of the province. This will be made possible in one year, he added.

Talking about efforts underway to provide digital education to the youth and train them to get better jobs, Bangash said that the KP government is not only offering modern education and course but is also offering financial assistance to train more professionals.
