Islamabad: National Highway Authority (NHA) Chairman Captain (retired) Sikandar Qayum on Monday stated that the Hakla-Dera Ismail Khan Motorway will be completed by the middle of 2021, according to a news source.

He revealed this information while holding an online open session on NHA’s Facebook page. He emphasized that the NHA was responsible for building, operating, and maintaining interprovincial highways, national highways, and links to the ports. Additionally, he stated that the Hakla-DI Khan Motorway was under construction and would become operational by mid-2021.

Qayum also talked about the Indus Highway, deeming it as an important link between Peshawar and Karachi, and its rehabilitation as a high priority for the NHA. He also mentioned the Zhob-Kuchlak Highway and said that it would be opened next month. He further revealed that the paperwork of the Sukkur-Hyderabad Motorway will soon be completed and will be advertised on the international level.
