Hafizabad: Member National Assembly (MNA) Chaudhry Shaukat Ali Bhatti has announced the government’s decision to transform Hafizabad into a model city with the World Bank’s assistance, a news source reported. To this effect, He stated that the authorities concerned would ensure the provision of gas supply to every household in the city, in addition to developing a 400-bed hospital.

He expressed his views on the matter during the launch ceremony of a gas supply project in Satellite Town. Former deputy mayor Rana Akbar Ali, jurist Aijaz Hussain Bhatti, and Naeem Samoor were all present at the occasion.
Instead of the usual large event, only specific individuals were invited to the ceremony as a precautionary measure against coronavirus.

Bhatti also stated that Prime Minister Imran Khan was scheduled to visit the city in order to announce a large package for it but the trip had to be postponed due to the coronavirus fears.
