Gwadar: The Bank of China is looking to open a branch in the port city, said Gwadar Port Authority Chairman Dostain Khan Jamaldini. According to him, the state-owned bank from China is one of the many banks interested in opening their branches in the city.
Jamaldini further revealed that the Bank of China will start its business operations shortly. He also indicated that with Gwadar Deep Seaport becoming a reality, several Pakistani banks are interested in opening their branches here as well. So far, the Gwadar Port Holding has allowed only two banks to open their branches in Gwadar, and the Bank of China is one of them.
