Islamabad: Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani has brought forth a proposal that Gwadar in Pakistan and Dalian in China should be termed as sister cities, according to a press release from his office. This suggestion was made to strengthen the ties between the two countries.
Dalian was chosen as the proposed sister city because of its similarities to Gwadar as an important port city. Sanjrani visited Dalian to attend the Urban Planning Exhibition, and also went to the harbour and port business building. He expressed his belief about the huge economic potential future coordination between Gwadar and Dalian would bring. He also stated that the two cities could exchange expertise and knowledge about trade and shipment.
