Gwadar: The government has set up a central business district spanning 2,500 acres under the Gwadar Master Plan disclosed by Gwadar Development Authority (GDA) Director General Mujeeb-ur-Rehman Qambrani, according to news published on June 24.

As per the details, a 280-kilometre road network has been completed in the port city. The director general mentioned that bids have been invited from international and national firms for promoting the tourism sector. He went on to say that Gwadar is the only city after Islamabad to have carried out construction and development work under the master plan.

Moreover, it was informed that work on different water supply projects in the city is underway. It was mentioned that two dams, Sowd and Shadi Kaur, have been completed and linked with the pipelines throughout the city. In addition, a sewerage water treatment plant has been set up to use the sewerage water for agriculture and irrigation.
