According to the details available, the project’s development has been accelerated in recent months, and it is expected to be completed by early 2021. The Eastbay Expressway is expected to be the primary connection between the Gwadar Port, the Gwadar Free Zone, and the National Highways. It will also serve as a major route for exports, imports and transit trade.
In related news, the Gwadar Port recently became operational and, as a result, ships have begun arriving with transit goods slated for Afghanistan. A significant portion of these goods are expected to be taken to the country through the Chaman border, on 550 trucks.
