Islamabad: Development work on Gwadar International Airport will start during the current year, a news source quoted China Pakistan Economic Corridor Project Director Hassan Daud Butt. The project is set to benefit 3 billion people living in the region.
Talking to Associated Press of Pakistan, Butt said that work on all projects initiated under the CPEC is underway in full swing, where the country has entered the phase of industrial revolution. The Pakistan-China collaboration for this project can change the fate of many other countries in the region. And to help more countries benefit from it, the CPEC Economic Zone Policy for investors is quite liberal, which also makes joint venture projects convenient.
Butt also said that the Belt and Road Project will link China with Central Asia and South Asia, making it the way forward for economic prosperity for the country and also provide employment opportunities for millions of people in Pakistan.
